Let’s Go Down to the Beach ~ Prophetic Word

On 19 June 2020, I had a dream. I was in a coastal town with friends. The houses were on a large slope going all the way down to the beach. I wanted to go down to the beach, but one of my friends did not. The waves on the beach were very large. Some of them were as high as the houses yet they did not swamp them in any way. I don’t know how they didn’t completely envelop the houses. They were being held back in some way. Despite the size of the waves I still really wanted to go to the beach.

When I awoke from this dream I just happened to be reading Isaiah 60 that morning. I have some prophetic encouragement from this dream and this passage in Isaiah I believe will bless you.

No matter the opposition, arise and shine!

I believe the waves in my dream represent a massive outpouring of the Holy Spirit yet many in the body of Christ are fearing opposition. Waves are definitely obstacles both in the natural and spiritual realm. When we focus on the waves we lose sight of Jesus. Can we take Him at His word? He has promised to be with us through great darkness. I believe as we do, the glory of the Lord will truly rise upon us as promised in Isaiah 60.

Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.

Isaiah 60:1-3, NASB

Beloved Christian, let’s go down to the beach and trust Him completely. The Body of Christ really needs to be a light to the nations in this dark hour. Arise and shine!

Receive the abundance of the sea

The beach in my dream I believe symbolises a battleground and a place of great interchange between the natural and the spiritual realm. We must not be afraid to go down to the beach. It is a place of abundance and outpouring of the Spirit in tumultuous times.

Then you will see and be radiant,
And your heart will thrill and rejoice;
Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you,
The wealth of the nations will come to you.

Isaiah 60:5, NASB

Receive the abundance of the sea of interchange. It is the wealth of nations. It is our inheritance! Exchange your fears, failings and inadequacy for His abundant joy.

Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance,
And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.

Psalm 2:8, NASB

Lay hold of this abundance and push back the darkness of opposition. Those committed to advancing the kingdom need to receive resource right now at the place of interchange. It is being poured out for those who overcome fear and step into the place of inheritance with rejoicing.

Let peace and righteousness reign

I sense two major obstacles for those not wanting to go down to the beach and claim what is theirs in Christ. The first is their lack of understanding of their righteous identity in Christ. The second is fear of the unknown.

Many believers do not step into all Jesus has for them because they simply do not see themselves worthy of love. This is an absolute lie of the devil! Jesus thought you were worth dying for! Many of us need to shake off this false humility and embrace our righteousness in Christ. Let righteousness reign. It is a key for overcoming in this season and the only way to advance the kingdom.

And I will make peace your administrators
And righteousness your overseers.

Isaiah 60:17b, NASB

Peace must also be given permission to rule in our hearts. Peace must reign. It is a better option than fear of the unknown.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Colossians 3:15, NKJV

In the Name of Jesus, shake off the shackles of fear, condemnation and unworthiness. Step out of the place of comfort and into the place of interchange where resource and favour are yours in abundance. Let’s go down to the beach and receive all He has for us in this season. Amen.
