I Fell on my Face – Yes, I Will Go – Ezekiel Chapter 2

PROPHETIC INSIGHTS FROM THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL FOR THIS SEASON ~ DAY 2

A few years ago, I did a detailed study in the book of Ezekiel. I’m going to be posting the prophetic insights from each chapter over the next little bit. If you want the full teaching, it’s available on my YouTube channel at this link:

✨️ I FELL ON MY FACE – YES, I WILL GO – EZEKIEL CHAPTER 2 ✨️

👉🏼 Question: God is sending. Will we go?

INSIGHTS:

  1. Stand on our feet

We fall on our face in worship and THEN we are commissioned to go. How many of us need to get up out of our circumstances and GO? Stand and keep standing with the armour of God.

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness…”

Ephesians 6:13-14 NKJV‬

  1. Where is God sending you?

God’s sending now more than he’s ever sent. He’s always been sending. He’s always been on the move. However, right now, he’s sending more than ever before. It’s harvest time. Where is he sending you?

If you know, be blessed in your going. If you don’t, chew and ruminate on this for a bit as a cow chews the cud. He will answer. It’s a good question to ask the Lord because our assignment in a past season may not be our assignment in this present season.

Remember Elijah’s assignment shifted when he fled to the cave after Jezebel’s intimidation. The Lord asked him what he was doing there–TWICE. He’d just had a major victory on Mt Carmel and run away because Jezebel threatened to kill him. We can have significant attack come at us when our assignment shifts. We need to be obedient in the send and push back the lies of the enemy.

Elijah listens to the still, small voice of God. He wraps himself in his mantle and stands in his authority on the mountain of God. We must do the same.

“So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

1 Kings 19:13 NKJV‬

We have new mantles and new assignments in this season. Where is God sending you?

  1. God empowers and strengthens

The name Ezekiel means “God strengthens”. Whatever he’s asked us to do. Whatever mantle he’s placed on us. Rest assured, he has empowered us to do it. We can be the frail human picked up by the Holy Spirit, planted firmly on our feet and empowered to go. Won’t he do it?!

  1. Deliver the word anyway. We are just the messenger.

People will take offense with us no matter what. We need to deliver the message anyway. We keep our hearts right before him and leave the rest up to God. Obviously we exercise wisdom. Ranting on social media is probably not advisable. But if we have something the Lord has given us to say, we must be obedient to deliver it. If it’s the Lord, he won’t leave it alone so we need to be speak what’s been given to us. Follow prophetic protocols but DELIVER the word. Remember, we are just the messengers. We are not responsible for what people do with the word. We are not responsible for anything except the delivery. Prepare to be misunderstood. It’s part of the baptism into death of self.

  1. Will we go?

If we know our mantle and assignment, will we go? It’s not a casual, “Yes.” It’s a 100% all-in thing. No matter the price. No matter the consequences. Ponder the path ahead.

“Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil.”

Proverbs 4:25-27 NKJV‬
