I Fell on my Face – Will We Hear? – Ezekiel Chapter 3

A few years ago, I did a detailed study in the book of Ezekiel. I’m going to be posting the prophetic insights from each chapter over the next little bit. If you want the full teaching, it’s available on my YouTube channel at this link:

👉🏼 Question: God is speaking. Will we hear?

  1. What are we eating?

Let’s examine our diet right now and eliminate what doesn’t edify. We should be diving into the Word of God as our nourishment. What are we consuming? What are we feeding on? If it doesn’t edify us, it’s not going to strengthen us for the days ahead.

  1. Do we have sins we fail to admit?

What about pride or false humility? It’s a huge stumbling block. Unforgiveness is also very damaging to the soul. The Holy Spirit will convict. It’s our job to respond with repentance. This will strengthen us to have regional authority as we advance the kingdom.

  1. Take some time to digest what God is saying to us in this season.

The message may originally taste sweet but feels bitter once the reality of the cost of it hits us. We are in a season where we are being given words that are difficult to digest. We need to take some time and ‘chew the cud’.

“Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll. And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.”

Ezekiel 3:1-3 NKJV‬

  1. God is calling individuals FIRST.

Revival starts in the hearts of the people first. As we cry out for a move of God, we must recognise it begins with US.

  1. It’s time to separate ourselves.

“And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

‭Joshua 3:5 NKJV‬

We are being called to a season of consecration. Being holy is distinct from being righteous. Righteousness is our right-standing with God and our sins forgiven. Holiness is being set apart and separated. Holiness is extraordinary. Don’t be ordinary. Be extraordinary!

  1. We need ears to hear.

Will we hear what the Lord is saying to us whether it is easy or not? Many watchmen are arising at present with warnings. These messages are not ‘feel-good’. How well it is received is not up to us. We need to be faithful to steward what we are given no matter how hard it is to hear.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Revelation 2:29 NKJV‬
