Where’s Your Hedge? ~ Reflections from Acts

On Paul’s first missionary journey he was stoned by an angry mob (amongst other things…). Suffering persecution for the gospel is a real thing and is on the rise for Christians right across the earth at the moment. Now more than ever, we need our hedge. Paul had one in Acts 14:19-20 (TPT).⠀

“Some of the Jews who had opposed Paul and Barnabas in Antioch and Iconium arrived and stirred up the crowd against them. They stoned Paul and dragged his body outside the city and left him for dead. When the believers encircled Paul’s body, he miraculously stood up! Paul stood and immediately went back into the city. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.” ⠀

Notice after Paul was stoned and left for dead, believers gathered around him. I believe they were praying for him. Then, he miraculously rose and went back into the city unharmed.⠀

Where’s your hedge? Have you got people praying for you? Notice these were everyday disciples. Christ in you is more than capable to accomplish what needs to come to pass. You don’t need to rely on someone with a platform to lead you in prayer. PRAY! Pray for your leaders. They need your prayer. Stop disqualifying yourself because you feel ill-equipped. You are equipped!⠀

Pray for your hedge of protection and be a hedge for others. The hedge is powerful…⠀
