The Great Shaking ~ Prophetic Word

As I write this the world is being shaken–systems, economies, countries, governments, people. We are in the grip of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic. Last year, I received some fairly interesting revelation I had no frame of reference for. It makes more sense now. I was also reading some rather obscure texts of scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I’d like to share some of this with you today in light of our current context and to offer you some hope for the future.

A great shaking is taking place in the earth AND the heavens

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. (Heb. 12:25-28, NKJV)

I first received revelation from this passage in August/September of last year. I also specifically read this passage on New Years Day 2020. At the time, all the Lord told me was shifting and alignment into the purposes of God were occurring. That is certainly taking place right now. Further to this, things are being shaken to their very foundations. A few weeks ago, I was taken to the Vatican during worship. I was standing under the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica. I saw the roof split open and the glory of God descend on the Vatican. God’s manifest presence filled the place. I asked the Lord why I was seeing this. He told me He was dealing with foundations. He is shaking foundations, particularly in the West. The Roman Catholic Church represents the foundations of Christianity in the West, of which I am a part. The West is being shaken now more than ever and the Church is undergoing testing. In all of this is the promise of future glory to break open our existing structures and invade our space.

Right now, not only the earth is being shaken, but the heavens also. Since Saturday (21/3/2020) I have been sensing unprecedented warfare in the second heaven. I have never felt or experienced warfare like this before. I have felt it all around the globe. Above it all, I’m hearing the laughter of God as He calls, “Checkmate!” on the enemy.

God-Enthroned merely laughs at them;
the Sovereign One mocks their madness! (Ps. 2:4, TPT)

I encourage you to read all of Psalm 2 because I feel its fulfilment is in play right now. The Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ is rising and will ultimately triumph. Take courage during these dark times.

Judgment is being released against the enemies of God

So, I was reading Hebrews 12 on New Years Day. Directly after that, the Spirit of God led me to read the book of Nahum. I read it on January 3-5, 2020. Here is what I took out of these precious times with God. God is jealous for His people. He is avenging them with fury. Vindication is coming swiftly! He is merciful and gracious to those who wait on Him during times of affliction. The Lord is our stronghold in the day of trouble. (Praise God it’s just a day!)

There’s a lot of judgement in the book of Nahum. The context is judgement against Ninevah. It was an Assyrian city located now in modern-day Iraq. I felt, however, the Lord was referring to judgement against the enemies of His people. The enemy has officially been put on notice.

I want to be clear here, I do not believe God sent the Coronavirus as judgement. It is rather a consequence of sin. Sin always has consequences. God is using this situation, however, to bring about a shift in men’s hearts. This is truly a time of the great divide. God has seen the persecution of His Church worldwide and the consequences of this unjust persecution are now in play. We pray for mercy on our nations.

Look at these beautiful promises of God from the book of Nahum during this time.

The Lord is slow to anger and great in power. (Nah. 1:3a, NKJV)

The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble,
And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
(Nah. 1:7, NASB)

Whatever you devise against the Lord,
He will make a complete end of it.
Distress will not rise up twice. (Nah. 1:9, NASB)

Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace!…
For never again will the wicked one pass through you;
He is cut off completely. (Nah. 1:15, NASB)

Hold fast during these testing times. God is fighting for you and we are in very exciting days. Stay in faith and keep your eyes fixed on Him. Things will never be the same on this earth after all this has shifted. It will not be “business as usual” ever again.

Coronavirus, you are NO king!

I was praying with an intercessory group yesterday (26/3/2020) from my church. One of the ladies mentioned the word “corona” means crown. Immediately, I felt the indignation of God rise within me. “You are no king!”, I heard Him say. The Lord led me to Deuteronomy 25 where Moses was reminding the Israelites of their battle with Amalek in the valley of Rephidim. You can read about it in Exodus 17.

Remember what Amalek did to you along the way when you came out from Egypt, how he met you along the way and attacked among you all the stragglers at your rear when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God. Therefore it shall come about when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies, in the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget. (Deut. 25:17-19, NASB)

There is so much I could say about this passage, but for the sake of brevity, I will mention some keys. Amalek means “no king”. This virus is “no king”. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:16). I believe there is an Amalekite spirit of robbery behind this virus. The Amalekites attacked the weak and frail. This is what this virus is designed to do. The key to overcome is REST. Now more than ever, we must rest in the promises of God. All the blessings of Psalm 91 are ours if we simply dwell in the secret place under the shadow of His wing. Dwelling is resting. We must resist fear and trust God at this time. This virus is coming after your inheritance in Christ. Our inheritance is the kingdom. The kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy (Rom. 4:17). Do not let the enemy steal your peace and joy or rob you of your righteousness with condemnation. Stand firm in your identity in Christ! It is your protection during these perilous times. God, Himself, will deal with this plague, and we must never forget what God has done. The time for shallow Christianity is over. All idolatry must be put away. We shall never be the same again. These are exciting times indeed!

Activation Prayer

I don’t want to leave this prophetic word without a prayer of activation.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, we run to You during this time of trouble. We are in great need, but You are greater than all we see right now. We thank You for vindication and protection during this unprecedented time. You alone are great and mighty and we praise Your holy Name. We repent from and put away all idolatry, passivity and complacency. Lord, we cry out for the nations. We ask for our inheritance. You promised if we asked, You would give us the nations (Ps. 2:8). Now is the time to harvest the nations.

We are believing for financial provision at this time. Thank You for meeting all of our needs according to Your riches in glory (Phil. 4:19). We will not fear where our provision is coming from in this season because You are our Provider.

We consciously dwell in the secret place of the Most High so all the blessings of Psalm 91 are ours. No plague shall come near us in the Name of Jesus! Thank You for keeping our families safe during this time. We choose to dwell in peace and joy. We rebuke a spirit of condemnation which would try to pull us out of our righteous identity in Christ in Jesus’ Name.

Father, we take authority over this Coronavirus and decree, “You are no king!” Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. We strip you of your power and rebuke your attempts to come after the weak and frail. You will not rob us of our inheritance. You Amalekite spirit of robbery, the Lord rebuke you in Jesus’ Name. Get your hands off our families and the people of God! We trample you underfoot and decree we shall never forget what God has done in this time in history.

Be exalted Jesus above all the earth. We pray as we lift Your name on high, You will draw ALL men unto You (John 12:32). We are praying for a great harvest of souls in Your mighty Name. Amen.

Love and blessings,

Naomi Byers
