As I was drifting off to sleep Sunday night (12/7/20), I saw a large eye with complex prisms all around it which were refracting light through them. This resulted in a dazzling light display all around the eye. It was like looking through a kaleidoscope. The Holy Spirit told me I was seeing the eye of understanding.
Now, yes, I am aware the Bible talks of eyes (plural) of our understanding in Ephesians 1:18. So, please don’t hear what I’m not saying. This is NOT a post about a third eye or any such New Age nonsense. The eye I saw was a right eye and this is significant to the interpretation of the revelation as I hope I will explain.
Receive as a child
The kaleidoscope I saw around the eye represents a childlike innocence and faith. If we want to carry the glory of God and see His face, we must come as a child as Jesus explains here.
Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:10, NKJV
If we do not come like a child to receive freely and with pure vision, there is a danger confusion can cloud our interpretation of revelation. As we should recall, God is not the author of confusion.
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
1 Corinthians 14:33a, ESV
There is nothing wrong with the revelation we receive from God. Where we can err is in our interpretation and application. I have discerned an unfortunate amount of self-seeking behaviour in the Body of Christ of late. My beloved brothers and sisters, this ought not to be the case. Envy and selfish ambition only lead to chaos and confusion.
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
James 3:16, NKJV
This is childish rather than childlike behaviour and it really needs to stop. The Bride of Christ must progress in unity and maturity of faith, knowing how to receive just like a child does in innocence and purity.
An increase in spiritual sight
As we learn to receive with the faith of a child, I believe the Father is pouring out greater spiritual sight and perception along with a heightened, sanctified imagination. This is the significance of the right eye I saw in the vision. I truly pray as the Apostle Paul prayed for the eyes of our understanding, particularly the right eye pertaining to spiritual sight, to be enlightened.
By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones).
Ephesians 1:18, AMPC
Pay greater attention to your dreams and daytime, visual musings. Truly allow your eyes to be “uncovered” in this season.
The oracle of him who hears the words of God,
And knows the knowledge of the Most High,
Who sees the vision of the Almighty,
Falling down, yet having his eyes uncovered.
Numbers 24:16, AMPC
Seers are arising in greater numbers in the coming days as we need those in the Body of Christ awakened to have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches at present. Just a reminder, seers are also prophets.
Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he said, “Come, let us go to the seer,” for today’s “prophet” was formerly called a seer.
1 Samuel 9:9, ESV
Spiritual sight is sorely needed in this hour. Arise in the Name of Jesus!
A greater clarity
For those who press in to see what God is saying right now, greater clarity is coming. This is the significance of the prisms or crystals I saw around the eye in my vision. This clarity is weighty with the glory of God.
Clothed in God’s glory [in all its splendor and radiance]. The luster of it resembled a rare and most precious jewel, like jasper, shining clear as crystal.
Revelation 21:11, AMPC
There is an abundant river of life flowing from this clarity. We need to press in and receive it by faith. Many people’s freedom is on the other side of our obedience.
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:1, NKJV
Pure vision and wisdom flow from this place. Today I pray we each receive greater clarity, wisdom, pure vision and the faith of a child as we tread the path of these uncertain times. Receive everything He has for you today in the Name of Jesus! Shake off comparison, complacency, self-seeking and envy. Receive the right eye of understanding and greater spiritual perception in Jesus’ Name.
