PROPHETIC INSIGHTS FROM THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL FOR THIS SEASON ~ DAY 14
A few years ago, I did a detailed study in the book of Ezekiel. I’m going to be posting the prophetic insights from each chapter over the next little bit. If you want the full teaching, it’s available on my YouTube channel (link below):

I FELL ON MY FACE – LET’S NOT HARDEN OUR HEARTS – EZEKIEL CHAPTER 14
Will we keep our hearts soft and penitent?
INSIGHTS:
1. God STILL judges nations.
In some areas of the prophetic movement, there is a reticence to give words of judgement and doom. Back in the 70s and 80s as far as I can remember, this is much of what the prophets were speaking. When delivering words of judgement, we must understand there is always hope. Even in the dire circumstances of Jerusalem in Ezekiel 14, there was still hope for the remnant.
God is STILL judging nations. We need him to. Only the Lord can enact true justice in the earth. This is a GOOD thing.
2. Do we have idols in our hearts?
The most dangerous place for idols is in the heart. Remember according to Ezekiel 14, the Lord answers us according to the idols in our hearts. A scary thought! Keeping short accounts with the Lord is key along with a lifestyle of repentance.
3. Do we have the Holy Spirit?
If you are in Christ the answer is a resounding, “Yes.” If your heart is penitent, of course he dwells within it. Just be aware, though, not everyone who names the name of Jesus has the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus warning in Matthew 7:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV
Don’t be fooled by signs, wonders and miracles. Look for the fruit. These are nine manifestations of love–the fruit of the Spirit.
4. Strong delusion is coming. In fact, it’s already here.
The progressive church has fallen into the place of questioning fundamentals such as the deity of Christ, biblical morality and the ordination of pure vessels of the Lord.
We cannot afford to wait to commit our lives to Christ. We need to remember the simplicity of Christ and him crucified. Jesus was and is the Son of God who came in the flesh, died (physically) for our sins. He was buried and (physically) rose again. He was seen by many witnesses before ascending on high. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Christ will come again in power and glory. Whoever believes in him shall be saved. That is the gospel. Let’s keep the main thing, the main thing. Don’t wait to believe. NOW is the time to choose life! Strong delusion is coming and when it does, God will allow you to be caught in that delusion. Heed the warning of Ezekiel 14!
5. Do not harden your heart.
If you hear/feel the Lord knocking on the door of your heart today, do not harden your heart. NOW is the day of salvation!
