Adventures with God ~ Reflections from Acts

“Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. So he arose and went….Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.”⠀

Acts 8:26-39 NKJV⠀

I absolutely love this story from the book of Acts! Holy Spirit teleportation…very cool…It’s actually referred to as translation and occurs in one other place in scripture, Ezekiel 3:12-15. I have heard many anecdotal stories of people of God being suddenly translated into another place. Jesus Himself did this when he ‘suddenly’ appeared to the disciples in the upper room after His resurrection. It is certainly possible.⠀

With God, all things are possible. Jesus said this Himself.

“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.”

Luke 1:37 AMPC

This excites my spirit. Does it excite you? Life in the kingdom is always an adventure. I never know what surprise the Holy Spirit has for me each day. It’s just an incredible journey. ⠀

If you are finding your walk with God has become dry you need to re-dig the wells and rediscover intimacy with Him. As you do, you will find He has a kingdom assignment for you. There is purpose–always. Just like Philip in the book of Acts, who knows where the Lord will send you and what He will ask you to do?! Believe for the supernatural to manifest in your life today. God wants to work through you more than you desire it for yourself. Happy adventure day with the Holy Spirit!⠀
