For some time now, I have been seeing snowflakes falling on mountains in the realm of the spirit. I believe this is a prophetic picture of what the Holy Spirit is doing in this season to bring about deliverance and breakthrough.
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. (Ps. 97:5)
Who are you, O great mountain?
These mountains I have seen are specific opposition and obstacles in your life at present. What do you see? Do you see financial burdens? Sickness? Broken relationships? Trials? Temptations?
All of these are a distraction from the victory you already have in Christ Jesus. What are these mountains before the Almighty God?! We know mountains melt like wax before the presence of the Lord. We need a sound in our mouths to come against these mountains of opposition. This passage in Zechariah is from a word given to him when Zerubbabel had led the people of Judah back to the land to rebuild the temple after their exile in Babylon. The text here is plain. “Who are you, O great mountain?”
‘Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone
With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ (Zech. 4:7)
In this hour, there is a double portion of grace poured out upon you for the mountains of opposition in your life. Who are they before the presence of the Lord?! NOTHING! They shall “become a plain!” Hallelujah!
Do not despise small things
I believe a prophetic solution for these mountains of opposition in this season are individuals. Let me explain. I saw snowflakes fall. Anyone who knows a thing or two about snowflakes knows everyone is unique. What a creative marvel! These snowflakes represent people in your life who are unique and prophetic solutions to these mountains of opposition. Some you may already know. Some are coming in the next 30 days. Holy Spirit will reveal them to you as you press into His presence.
Do not devalue the individual in this season. They may look insignificant now but the Father has positioned them as doorways to a breakthrough at this time.
For who has despised the day of small things? (Zech. 4:10a)
A single snowflake falling on a mountain may be of little consequence, but many falling over time change the topography of the landscape. Enough snow falling can cause an avalanche! Hallelujah! I prophesy an avalanche of favour, abundance, healing, wholeness, and restoration in the Name of Jesus! Lift your eyes Beloved…
Alignment comes before fulfillment
For who has despised the day of small things?
For these seven rejoice to see
The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
They are the eyes of the Lord,
Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth. (Zech. 4:10)
A plumb line is an ancient device used to measure the alignment of a structure. If the building was out of alignment, it would need to be shifted and adjusted accordingly. Similarly, alignment and shifting is not comfortable at the time. 2019 was a challenging year for many. As I pressed into Holy Spirit during the confusion of last year, I heard Him say, “This is shifting and alignment.” I wasn’t particularly ecstatic to hear those words because alignment is never comfortable.
God is always good and His plans are sure! What felt like a setback was a setup for victory this year and beyond. Will you press in for the more He has for you?
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit
Now is the time to lift your eyes and fix your eyes on Him. These mountains will not move in your own strength. This is truly a time to be led by the Spirit of God and not allow yourself to be swayed by your circumstances.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts. (Zech. 4:6b)
I prophesy these mountains shall melt like wax in the presence of the Lord as you keep your eyes fixed on Him, align yourself with the people He is sending into your life and not allow yourself to be distracted by the reality of your surroundings.
It’s time to run with Jesus! I was reminded of the scene in the movie “The Shack” where Mack gets out of the boat and runs with Jesus on the water. When he tried to do it alone, he sunk. When he took the outstretched hand of Jesus, not only did he walk on water, he ran. Jesus’ reminder to Mack in this movie was, “Let’s do it together.”
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit…We say, “Yes God!” In the Name of Jesus cast off fear, restraint, opposition, intimidation, hurt, bitterness, unforgiveness, and distraction and RUN WITH JESUS! Watch those mountains melt like wax in the presence of the Lord. As they melt, I see them become a sea of glass. This is the terrain you will easily cover hand in hand with Jesus. Amen.
Be greatly blessed,
