I Fell on my Face – They Will Know I Am ADONAI – Ezekiel Chapter 32

A few years ago, I did a detailed study in the book of Ezekiel. I’m going to be posting the prophetic insights from each chapter over the next little bit. If you want the full teaching, it’s available on my YouTube channel (link below):
👉🏼 Pride goes before destruction in this post-Christian, post-modern era. Will we be bold enough to stand on the Lord’s side?
1. Pride goes before destruction.
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 16:18 NKJV‬
Oftentimes, this scripture is misquoted. Pride doesn’t go before a fall. It precedes destruction. Pride is deadly dangerous. It is death to the soul. It is the sin of Lucifer.
2. When great leaders fall.
These nations that were judged in the book of Ezekiel (specifically Egypt in Ezekiel 32), were all judged for falling into the sin of pride. It is literally the most dangerous sin we can fall into. It is such a trap. Leaders are the most susceptible to it.
Nebuchadnezzar was being used as God’s instrument of judgement against the ancient world. But he bragged about his greatness (remember the golden statue dream), and ended up eating grass with the wild beasts for 7 years. He was humbled.
Herod the Great received praise that was meant for God and he was immediately struck down.
King Uzziah was presumptuous and he was cursed with leprosy. He went in to burn incense before the Lord. That was a priestly duty alone. He was a king, not a priest.
Korah, Dathan and Abiram wanted to take over the leadership from Moses during that 40-year sojourn in the desert. Do you remember what happened to them? The ground opened up and swallowed them.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: Trump’s election in 2016 was the Lord’s doing. What happened to Trump in 2020 was also the Lord’s doing.
Like Nebuchadnezzar, Trump had become too puffed up by his own pride and that was quite clear in his own rhetoric. He couldn’t continue. He had to be humbled.
3. A warning to apostates.
Pride is so destructive to our lives. There is a warning going out to apostates and to people that are looking for a message to tickle their ears. Hear the warning from Jude.
“Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.”
Jude 1:11 NKJV‬
Itching ears are easy prey for dangerous doctrine. This doctrine leads us on a pathway of destruction. We cannot afford to fall into the great apostasy that’s happening even now. Read Matthew 24 for more details. We must stay low.
Included in this warning is an exhortation to not partner with false humility. Christians can often see the more obvious forms of pride and know they need to avoid it. We also need to avoid the more subtle versions of pride, which include things like false humility.True humility is not thinking less of yourself. It’s just thinking of yourself less. We do not want to fall into the pride trap.
4. Can a nation be saved in a day?
*Originally prophesied March 23, 2022
We are going to see great leaders and great nations very rapidly topple and fall in a day. Regimes brought down in a day. Do not be surprised at what you’re going to see happening.
In my conversations with God over this he asked me this question, “Can a nation be saved in a day?” My response was, “Well, if you do it Lord. Of course!” This should give you hope right now. Even though there’s not a lot of hope in the news and media, with God all things. If we turn our hearts as intercessors, those who are burdened for our nations; we can cry out to God to heal our land. A nation CAN be saved in a day.
Some nations will be saved. Some will not. Remember Jesus’s warning to the sheep and goats. He was not speaking of individuals. He was speaking of nations. Some will be saved. Some will not. Wherever you are in the world, if you belong to him, you are part of the remnant. You’re being consecrated. Your heart is being prepared in the secret place. If you have that intimate relationship with God, the promises for the remnant are for you too. The remnant SHALL be saved!
If you are afraid right now, I invite you not to partner with fear. The Lord is calling for unusual courage in this season. I hear the Lord speaking from Isaiah 35 to us right now.
“Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees…And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
‭Isaiah 35:3, 10 NKJV‬
Courage is not the absence of fear. It’s standing firm in the face of it. Just stay in the game. Stay in the fight. Stay where you are right now. Stay firm. Be strengthened in his love.
Are we bold enough to stand on the Lord’s side?
